What is the HLB?

HLB stands for Hydrophile–Lipophile Balance, an index used to indicate the relative affinity of an emulsifier for water and oil. Our emulsifiers, RYOTO™ SUGAR ESTER and RYOTO™ POLYGLY ESTER, cover a broad range of HLB values.
