LACRIS™ is a spore-forming probiotic containing spore of weizmannia coagulans, resistant to heat and acid.Backed by scientific research and used in Japanese food formulations for over 50 years.

*The scientific name for Bacillus coagulans was changed to Weizmannia coagulans in 2020 and Heyndrickxia coagulans in 2023, and Bacillus coagulans SANK70258 and Weizmannia coagulans SANK70258 are the same strains as Heyndrickxia coagulans SANK70258.

LACRIS™ (Weizmannia coagulans SANK70258) is a unique spore- forming probiotic ingredient. It was isolated from green malt in 1949 and launched in Japan in 1966 for its long-term safety. Easy to formulate, this branded ingredient can help create functional foods, beverages, and dietary supplements for consumers.
